Role Overview
We're hiring an Operations Associate to be the day-to-day execution engine behind our client portfolio. You'll own the financial operations – bill pay, payroll, reporting – across a group of independent restaurant clients, running disciplined, systematized financial cycles that keep every account on track. Your job is to take day-to-day logistical fire drills off owners' plates and convert bespoke, manual work into scalable, repeatable playbooks.The Operations Associate position is our pipeline into client strategy and account ownership – strong performers take on increasing strategic responsibility and grow into an Account Manager role over time.
Responsibilities
Bill Pay: Execute bill-payment cycles across a portfolio of clients
Payroll Administration: Process weekly payroll through Toast, Square, or ADP — including manual adjustments, tip-pooling distributions, and supervisor/job-title mapping
Reporting & Compliance: Generate and distribute weekly Flash Reports and monthly P&L recaps with drafted commentary for owner review
Automation & Efficiency: Implement automated triggers for AP reporting and P&L commentary to reduce manual touchpoints, and continually find ways to introduce system efficiencies
Inbox & Calendar Management: Manage high-volume client inboxes and calendars, ensuring nothing slips and owners stay ahead of deadlines
Template & Asset Management: Keep company-wide templates (MSAs, SOWs, onboarding decks, client deliverables) current as offerings and processes evolve
Cross-Functional Contribution: Support additional projects and strategic priorities as assigned, contributing operational perspective and execution capacity wherever required
Requirements
A self-proclaimed "10/10" in organization, with a proven ability to manage high-volume inboxes and complex calendars – attention to detail and organizational discipline are the most important traits for this role
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets
Proficiency in QuickBooks Online, MarginEdge, Toast, Square, or ADP a plus
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Based in the U.S., able to work EST hours, and available to travel on-site to NYC locations
